- Two adult volunteers will be in the room attending to the children at all times.
- All volunteers will have a background check completed prior to working in the nursery.
- All volunteers will provide at least two character references prior to working in the nursery.
- All volunteers will be a regular attendee of FBC for at least 3 months before working in the
nursery.
- All volunteers must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and provide their testimony
to an Elder/Pastor prior to working in the nursery.
- The doors to the nursery are spilt doors, with an independent upper and lower half. When
children are in the nursery the top half of the split door will remain open.
- When a nursery child needs to go to the bathroom, two adult volunteers or one adult and one
teenage volunteer of the same gender will escort the child to and from the restroom.
- It is encouraged that at least one volunteer in the nursery be trained in CPR.
- If an emergency occurs, where CPR is required, One minute of CPR should be given prior to
dialing 911. Only after Emergency Care has been initiated as stated above should the parent be notified.
- A child with any of the following signs and symptoms of an illness will not be permitted in the
FBC nursery.
1. Runny nose (colored discharge) 2. Colored discharge from eyes 3. Inflamed mouth or throat 4. Coughing/sneezing 5. Chest congestion/labored breathing 6. Diarrhea/vomiting within the past 24 hours 7. Fever 8. Listlessness/unusual fatigue or irritability/excessive crying 9. Open sores 10. Contagious disease (i.e. Chicken Pox/pink eye)
